These are shots that are highlighted by being in black and white, rather than muted. (Which some beautiful black-and-white suit shoots are, and I like them, too!) The textures of the denim are forefront, rather than their color (which may not exactly match, telling by the shades).
And the fact that he’s in what looks like leather pants is kind of low-key, until you notice.
