Is it me, or has C.N Blue’s Jonghyun turned into leading man material in the last year or so? Watching him on the year-end music shows has been astounding.
I want to know who he’s dating, and whether he’s going to be in any fluffy rom-coms I want to watch soon.
The color edit on this disguises it a bit, but the long coat has a sort of leather panel…and is it under a shorter blue jacket? Wow. Interesting layering…

I don’t do too much “disembodied fashion item” photos, because I really think portraits are the best, but these.

These gloves are gorgeous. It’s like a portrait of the craftsmanship and really, why not?

Nothing too conventional here—but the hat has a woven color on one side that looks just like my mom’s hat that matches her Scottish wool cape. (Yes, it’s fabulous.)
I like the play with just touches of the leather-look on designs lately. It’s a bulky material, but can add a real distinct bit of structure, like it does here. The collar is interesting, but I really mainly love the tab-belting on the cuffs of the jacket…

There is more where this came from—much more. If you love Lee Seung-Gi, or the bright solids mixed with fall browns of this collection from Heritory, please, follow the source link to pages. (Though I’d say I’ve pulled out…about a third? More than?)

I did love the look throughout this collection, though. It’s got a conscious foundation in the Hilfiger-type bold primaries that do not age, with a playful layering and spectrum of shades.

The Great Britain cues are a bit obvious, but then, everyone’s been doing it this year.

It IS a great, dynamic color scheme!

Leather and style jeans replace rolled up dress shirts and shorts as the weather gets colder for casual but structural looks. I like that everything here’s in black and white with just a single shade of denim blue.

Chic meets punk, I guess. Which the models kind of embody themselves…

(Lee Soo-Hyuk’s face is almost fearfully well-formed.)

Another denim jacket again, so soon?

Yes.

These are shots that are highlighted by being in black and white, rather than muted. (Which some beautiful black-and-white suit shoots are, and I like them, too!) The textures of the denim are forefront, rather than their color (which may not exactly match, telling by the shades).

And the fact that he’s in what looks like leather pants is kind of low-key, until you notice.

I can’t seem to track down who this is—but he certainly is somebody, and he knows it.
The long velvet coat paired with leather gloves are enough drama that the watch-chain, the regal-sized necklace, the rock-star sunglasses seem more a matter of course.
He also knows how to work a palette of blacks—a variety of textures, with just margins of lighter color. Silvers and a sliver of white. It sets his hair off dramatically, as well—I’m sure he’s aware of that, too.
men’s fashion by merit of detail, rather than formality—
the mix of bracelets, and feel of the jacket go with the almost unseen bike.
This image seems slightly edgy Tae-boong from Dal-Ja’s Spring, but I am in no way complaining.

In a way, leather jackets are all going to be awesome. It does sort of depend on who you pair them with. And style, type of leather, color are all going to come into it.
This beautiful brown is one of Kim Jae-Wook’s colors, for sure, making the contrast of his fair coloring and black hair even more striking, but not leeching any color out of him. It’s just a beautiful leather, too, and the jacket is a great bomber style.
For Kim Jae-Wook the person, I’d pick a more classic, tailored leather, but as a model here, he brings it.

Kim Jae Wook.
I love the clash of breezy and punk in this image.
(When I say punk, I really just mean what I consider hard-core, blatantly cool.)
The leather-pant look with black heels is dominatrix, and the top is the light blue denimed blouse with a white jacket, so spring-light. The bright blue nail polish actually hints that it’s no accident there is a little biker in the mix here.
And don’t get me started on the setting and composition of this photograph, I could just go on…
Bringing the drama with the zipper outside the collar.
Love it.
I know this is a fairly well-travelled photo, but it’s…my bias. In a leather jacket. (And making it look even better, if you don’t mind my fangirling.)

Love the dynamic contrasts here, and those shoes? They are so hot I know they are out of my league, and yet I love them anyway.
The skinny jean works well on her body, and instead of seeming too flirty, draws the attention down to the shoe and the crop-line of the shirt, the minimalist zipper-fronted white top.
