Nice blend of casual and preppy pieces—which matches the man. He’s got the mature jaw for suits, but a little more of an easy-going smile. …Now I’m trying to remember what I’ve watched that I know his face.Still remember Korean drama’s “49 Days” ? if you do, I bet you remember who’s this charming guy >.<

Delightful light fashion shoot featuring Kim Woo-Bin and robin’s egg blue, apparently.
It’s from a magazine I hadn’t heard of before, Woman Joong Ang; sounds like a ladies’ journal, which explains a bit of the innocent olden-days feel to the shoot. I really, really like the jacket at the top, though. It balances plaid with a low-contrast scheme, but uses it well for a spring brightened suit look.
Like I mentioned in response to the Roy Qiu suggestion, I don’t find many images of Roy Qiu suited that work for me. I’m sure it would work for me if I was watching a drama—being a shade restricted by a suit is a characterization detail, not a flaw.
In fashion portraits, though, the comfort level is important. Can see here a much more natural look—he’s got the build for draping tees, sweaters, layering knits with sport coats. A fusion of maturity and casual that works really well with the face shown in these photos.
First of all, hah, Google Image, this is NOT Zion T. Not even close…
How did I manage to not find and post this? Joo Won looking marvellously spring like and suited in a way that matches him: somewhat effortless-looking.
The coat at the top has a faded look, making it good for dressing up a check shirt, or dressing down a dress shirt.
Here’s the cute interview that went with these photos in Elle, via omonatheydidn’t.

B.A.P for First Look.
I’ve kind of held out, hoping to see them in a suits-and-boots kind of photo essay, but there is such a strong styling for their group of blue collar fashion overlaid with k-pop accessories that no one is going to mess too much with their image. Not when they’re still barely a year old as a group.
I look forward to Zelo’s “a grown man now” modelling in a couple of years, because the boy looks amazing in a long coat. (And in straight hair…)
But for now, denim shirts and leather jackets (and sexy sweaters!) haven’t been TOO overexposed around here lately. Have they?

Yoon Shi-Yoon, master of the effervescence, used to make a slightly juvenile set of clothes look good. He’s not his character Kke-Geum, from Flower Boy Next Door, but he’s sure natural at channeling him.
They’re honestly a bit busy, though I think in combo with some more solids and maybe less leg-baring, they’re all nice spring-light pieces.
My favorite is the cardigan with dark stripes on top and then burnt orange once below. Very cute—in fact, that makes me think of the colors they put him in, for FBND. Which is a very good marketing scheme, all round…

Kim Bum
…looking a little thug-life in this shoot, but in a classy sort of way, like the princely son of the mafia you will meet in the sorts of manga I read.
Sharpie tattoos, why do I like you? They’re best when peaking out of thick, snuggly knits or suit ensembles, of course.
I cannot explain why I like that dissembled paisley hoodie on top—I think it’s the mix of Kim Bum and excellent photography. It would be awesome in real life, too, just totally not a mod looking hoodie. Can you see it layered with a sport coat and jeans and maybe amazing dress shoes?
Let me go fan myself.

Yoo Seung-Ho, evil tease, off to his military duties, left us with some pretty summery pictures at least.
(Who else is thrilled to be seeing spring come around, at least in pictures?)
These clothes are kind of anti-trendy. The suits are somewhat throw-backs. The casual outfits all have some dated edge. Almost like they were going for the look of an old developed-film photograph series. Which is kind of nice, actually.
And Yoo Seung-Ho actually has a face that I can see being a leading man of an earlier decade, too, can’t you?
my husband’s best friend’s fiancée told him she wanted professional pictures of him with her cat for Christmas. this is what she got.
EDIT: he would like me to tell you that she did not ask for these, they were a total surprise and all his idea. continue swooning.
someone knows how to make a lady happy.
And THIS is my Valentine to YOU, my dear SuitDistractees!
…I just realized that I actually found a grey pinstripe cat, though I was mainly noticing the excellence that is that sweater-vest.
Dapper cat, dapper man. Win, win, win!

Coulda sworn I posted some of these photos before. Don’t see any sign of them, though, just some similar ones.
It could be that Won Bin’s flawless face is just that familiar. He’s not an emotive person. His interviews can be hilarious to watch because of how hard it is to get him to answer with more than single words.
His untouchable chill attitude is so perfect for simple suit and knit looks like this. You don’t put him in flashy prints or wild colors. He’ll sell anything that’s at all classy, though, just by having it on his skin…
Have I told you lately how I feel about skin and sweaters?
