Goodness, I do love at-work portraits.
The denim-color collared shirt below is lovely, but it’s almost incidental, really—the whole motley of objects in these photos is an expression of style, and it’s lovely.

Lennon.

This is the hipster’s dream—I didn’t know Lennon was the protohipster, but clearly CLEARLY he had it down.
The feathers are a bit bohemian for today, but it just carries it over to chutzpah, rather than a dated style.
Can I say, I am for burgundy stripes coming back in? The current movement toward vintage could totally support that.
This photo is a delicious mix of textures—denim under a long sweater, a cardigan with delicate colorwork paired with a cabbie hat in tweed. Brick. Edgy shoes.
I love the bohemian vibe played up with the knapsacks, the indie color of the setting.
Oh! Look at the leather sleeve on that one knit jacket. Oh, I admire that as much as their lovely faces…

Never have fake glasses been deployed for a better cause…

It’s a pretty simple look, it’s the actual relative tones of the pieces that make it pop. The heather-gray tee looks blue under the more solid battleship gray of the jacket. And I think those black pants are velor. They are cave-depths black.

Kid you not, I have the exact same copy.
However, it is in much worse shape, me and lil sis have read it a mutual thousand times…
