T.O.P., my main man. Making jodhpurs look like something a person should wear, when usually, they should NOT.
But with tall boots, and a sassy jacket, hey. He’s making it work. Those laced-up sleeves are odd but dynamic. And with those pants, they don’t really stand *out* as odd.

It’s one of the interesting things about the BigBang dynamic—that they can pull off wild concepts as a group, but they also can just bring it to the classics, too.

G-Dragon’s updo is killer, Taeyang the right choice for cane-swinging dandy, and Daesung looking oddly chilly in full tightened-tie suit ensemble. In a good way.

Since TOP plays the formal suit side of things more, it’s appropriate he’d be the one most rumpled and at ease here, for contrast.

I kind of like the look of these edits, all together…

Of all the outfits, the jackets are swell, but the white striped one is the only real drop-dead looker. I enjoy the tie in primaries, too.

I am a bit hesitant to comment further, since my bias for this guy is a little ridiculous, but props to Cosmo—this looks like a great spread.

Pardon me for pushing a bit of the VIP agenda, but I’m really happy about this comeback. (And hearing TOP’s rap more like a melody without massive effects on it.)

They’re sporting some cute coats (Daesung…you’ve grown up to be my fashion bias in this group?!) but it’s really all about the shoes for me right now. Not a one of them is wearing a pair of shoes that I am not actively trying to get—combat boots, high-top sneakers, high-top Converse Chuck Taylors…

There’s nothing like the gakuran uniform.
As all J/K/T-dramas are aware. Have you noticed the way the gangster boys of the tough schools wear them?
It’s because they’re awesomely bad looking.
This doesn’t look like an actual gakuran, but it’s playing on that concept. I’m looking for some more for the uniform-variant strain, but having a bit of trouble with my search-terms. I don’t know who’s worn them for shoots, or I’d just look THEM up…
Gratuitous lumberjack shirt shot.
Weirdly muted plaid for his persona, but as more of a model, it looks fantastic.
Denim shirt classic. High tops and grunged jeans even better.
…it’s too informal, but it’s the rowdier cousin of the topic, okay? I love these collars in any form, and this photo’s just too right.

(friend found this, it was a Tumblr link, but I don’t know which user, sorry!)

Sexy knits, and hot collars. Leather. Smoky light.

What more could one ask for?

Oh, maybe just to not feel threatened by the chemistry there…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, T.O.P.!

graine:

I fucking love this photo. Look, how much he stands up from the crowd - in pink, while everybody in plain black or grey. Other person might look strange or weird, but Top really pulls this off easily - the way he holds himself, calm and worthily - he is oozing with swag)))

True, but what I must point out is
HOW is it that these four men are all in the same place, and the world doesn’t collapse into singularity? I ask you.
Because that is INSANE. Everyone but Song Seung-Heon looks a bit like “I am close to a superstar!” and though it would be funny to say he’s thinking “Yes, I know”, he just looks like he’s trying to be unobtrusive.
All of them are wearing jackets that are as boring as all Kansas, TOP winning not by color (though bravo to you, TOP) but the silky turned up cuffs that are at least detail that lends interest.
The mesh shirt would be so “no” to me, only meh even with TOP inside…but the look is completed somehow by the collar and button-lining underneath in black, and the rolling I’d the sleeves back over the cuffs, just like a regular blouse.
Still doesn’t look too comfy.
Breaking it up a little with an ensemble.
My favorite is actually the plaid shirt with the sleeves rolled—though I’d like it better if there was a contrasting undershirt showing where it’s rolled. I always cry inside when I can’t buy that stuff off the mannequin…
Is it me or is Seungri weirdly macho these days?
T.O.P. in his plaid jacket!
Admittedly, not my beloved lumberjack look—a little too casual for him to really carry off right. Instead, though, it fuses the form of a uniform jacket with that unusual material. The upturned cuffs of the shirt that picks up the blue gives this plaid (often a softening pattern) some real backbone.
Thank you, badkpopfairy.
Cuz, like, I needed another weird T.O.P. fetish.
(Now on the prowl for the results of this shoot and his silver nails…)
The crumple of the sleeve at the wrist, just below the cuff of the jacket, just gets me for some reason. I love sleeves that come over the hand, and jeans that get folds at the ankles, and the dynamic of pliant knit under clear-lined sport-coat is great.
Oh, and he’s holding a cane. I still love that Lucius Malfoy struts around with one, even though I myself call it a pimp cane, and think I will never be over it.
…which makes me think of someone else I can showcase in here…
T.O.P., my dear boy.

How is it you make so many things I would ridicule look endlessly suave?

…the boy is smoking a cigarillo while cross-legged, fully dressed, in a bathtub. I think that pants are even polyester. Can you say poseur? And yet…
