Well, windowpane check never looked finer, and maybe the same goes for Minho. Sherlock was so good in some ways for this group…
I have to say, the plaid-variant patterns are such that I like them best with a matching vest. It’s not too busy to be all in the same pattern, it’s more lively.

Wait. Is that Key? In a decent haircut and outfit? The SM machine must not have got their way with this one. To me it almost seems like he’s constantly made-under so he’ll look different from the pack of other slight framed, hot males in the group.

But really, there’s no need to do that. Look at how dashing they are when not put in loud, obnoxious color schemes and pattern mixes! Someone did make sure Taemin was juvenilized by wearing knee-breeches, but if anyone can make it look incidental and stylish, it’s him.

Also, Victoria has It. She is definitely not outplayed by their collective beauty…

Today’s Follow not-Friday is impurest, curating black and white fashion portraits, etc, of the finest in k-pop and otherwise. Love every photograph, even if I can’t talk myself into reblogging them here…
This one I made an excuse for, by saying “follow!”, because it’s not really suit dress, or even leather jacketed, but it is layered and sharp in a sort of tailored way.
Also, Taemin is pretty.
The jackets.
…the end.
forrealblackout1995 is my official 400th follower!
So exciting to know so many people are actually, like, seeing these posts sometimes.
Thank you so much!
And hey, don’t be shy about requesting certain people or types of fashion or sending me links to photos you think are awesome, my ask is open. :)
(And who else is LOVING SHINee’s latest promotions and the whimsical steampunk-variant suit costumes?)
This is a case of a celebrity doing their street style impeccably for their image as well as a splash of self-expression. The  pop-out color in the cuffs of the shirt is definitely trendy, as is the arrangement of the scarf with the vest, but it’s not weird.
The look makes sense, even if it verges on “styled” rather than dressed. And for a young pop celebrity, it’s a game of walking that line, really.
Taemin looks amazing.
Nothing too conventional here—but the hat has a woven color on one side that looks just like my mom’s hat that matches her Scottish wool cape. (Yes, it’s fabulous.)
I like the play with just touches of the leather-look on designs lately. It’s a bulky material, but can add a real distinct bit of structure, like it does here. The collar is interesting, but I really mainly love the tab-belting on the cuffs of the jacket…

Choi Minho for VOGUE Girl Korea

Minho has a certain seductiveness to his features, and this shoot definitely plays that up.

He’s one of the “edgy” ones in his group, but I think stylish suits him better. He also has a classic vibe to him, a timeless handsome that black jackets and monochromatic photography work with well.

The shiny camo effect on the one jacket would probably kill me in real life, more than that hot-in-2D dressage set of jacket and turtleneck. It’s hard to see it here, though.

There was some phrase on the article about this shoot about Taemin coming of-age, and how it was a grown-up shoot…

Honestly, he only looks comparatively older, he still could be pegged at about 16 in these photographs. However. I do like the shorter cut bringing out his jawline, and the youthful-but-not-young jackets. Also, Taemin resembles Se7en in…certain shoots I haven’t posted here yet. Whoops.

I am optimistic about these check/herringbone patterns coming back, though not into the miss-match patches of pattern on the pants here. They have a bold but antique cast.

I do so like traditional lines in formal wear. These take on a simplified look that doesn’t even look like clothes of fashion, just like costume, but I can see variants on these shapes looking well as part of an ensemble.
Tailored, mixed with other pieces.
Or you know, these two can just carry on letting us ogle their arms, just the way they are.
lefthandedbluestocking:

Onew looks like he’s wearing Luke’s Tatooine clothes sans sleeves.
And Minho is the padawan.

Aw, these two are so cute as the stiff dandies.

And more of this subtle plaid pattern for suit wear! I am seeing it everywhere, but it’s great. Patterned fabric can read a little boyish, which is fantastic for idols with the quintessential cute-guy face. Even on Minho’s coat…

I apparently can forgive those long-toed dress shoes when it comes to big-eyed dandy boys.

The unusual colors make these suits more for play than formal looks, but I’m unexpectedly fond of them as I keep looking…
Jonghyun was blowing me away on Immortal Song, and so when I saw this I favorited it, but it’s really growing on me, despite being a not-fan of brown in any large quantity. (Leather excepted.)
The light plaid, particularly, is so spring-like and youthful it plays against Jonghyun’s more mature facial structure.
This kid has such a face…and he seems to always get the awesome hair, too.
The fit of this coat isn’t one that would speak to you off the shelf, but much like the hair definitely plays up the cuteness factor of the slender boy idol. It’s plain good costuming.
All over the loving focus of the leather grain here.
I also want that cuff-zipper on every jacket I own, barring the one I’ve zig-zag cut myself…

for a while I was back down to 50 followers, hah, but I wanted to share this: best coed suit-distracting line-up in HISTORY and also my favorite cover dance yet

(though there’s a certain edge to SNSD’s first dance-battle medley rendition that makes me love it more as a performance, but it’s not as HD)
