I’m pretty sure this is an ancient photograph, but it is also a great one, so. The layers on this thing! I mean, the tie-dyed leggings (? or jeans ?) aren’t really obvious at first, except as a base for the clashing knits and plaid to all tie together—in a chaotic-manga-hero-front-illustration sort of a way. Like someone got carried away with the power of their texture-fill kit. The sweater, in this context looking mild-mannered, is actually very handsome—a restrained but technical knit. The jacket, though slung carelessly across his shoulders, has a tailored, double-buttoned look that would be stunning all done up. Of course, combat boots. The rest of this would not make sense if that and the tie didn’t match. In some…inexplicable sense.

I adore that the girl is in sporty dancer clothes, a Gil Ra-Im contrast to Se7en’s tsar-chic. The teal touches around his outfit escaped my notice the first couple of times, but add a hint of punk to the otherwise restrained coordinates, too. I’m more interested in those scene-stealing boxes in the background, though…

Just some suits-in-practice here, with touches of style for each person.

The shirt Kye-Sang has on has navy detailing along the collar that makes it seem more casual. The opposite effect is at work on Se7en’s shirt, with the polka-dots under the tie—it makes it seem more dressy. Especially since he *is* in a tie.

And Junsu’s tan plaid is subtle, dressy since it’s a completely matched suit, but the lighter color and texture make it spring-like and young.

Se7en has a similar balance of features to Rain and some other cuties with a full mouth and curving eyes, which makes him look youthful but not babyish. Though he’s a big proponent of black, and has yet to see a suave jacket he didn’t look good in, this is one of the more interesting, suit wise. Using a black bowtie against a buff jacket really pops, adds an off-balance note. He looks best in clean lined, simple looks, and though this extends to leather jackets over tees, clean simple outfits work best for him across the boards.
