A Suit Distraction

I don’t know what a Smoky Girl is, but I know a suave music video when I see one.

MBLAQ just work for me better in street-appropriate clothing, rather than as k-pop fashionistes. They go through a couple of sets of looks in this, but all of them are close to things you could wear out in the evening and not feel stupid about…

Keep an eye out for Seungho’s excellent coat at about the 3:10 mark. He looks amazing throughout (true Suit Distraction, that one. I can’t wait for him to hit about 30) but with the patterned jacket? He turns into a seducer of women.

I think it telling that they put Lee Joon in a silver letterman for that same line-up, by the way.

Lee Joon is a goof, but man is he handsome in a suit, when he’s not trying to be a pop star, and is instead being a social creature….

The skinny tie with a prominent tie bar is nice and sharp, and the collar being just points make it a bit more chic than classic. On a red carpet, it’s all about the small details for men. Too much color or pattern or layering doesn’t seem to work well in such a top-formal setting.

Black on black with a little grey for contrast? Well, I like it, anyway.

(Did you know there was a Korean reality TV program “Actress Butlers”? It couldn’t have been awesome, or I would see subs for it, but I don’t know how it could have gone wrong, the eye-candy in that butler line-up was ASTOUNDING.)
