I recently saw a graph of the tailoring traditions of Italy, England, and France (?), just about the shaping of the shoulder seam, and this one jumped out at me as…one or the other. It broadens the shoulders by placing the seam just beyond the natural slope. Belmondo has the kind of frame that hardly needs any heightening, but carries it off well anyway.
